Colosseum Intelligence is a content intelligence and publishing system, and the small team that builds it. We work in London. We are British. We write in plain English.

What we do

We build the system that listens, edits, and acts on the social graph in concert with the businesses we work for. Our job is to find the patterns that are worth publishing, draft the publications, decide whether to publish them, and publish only the ones that pass.

The work is half engineering, half editorial. The engineering is the eighteen-agent system described at /intelligence. The editorial is the standards by which the eighteen agents decide. The standards are the work; the system is the medium.

Who we are

The team at v1.

Steve Connellan — Founder, Editor in Chief. Spent ten years at the intersection of content marketing and operations. Built and sold a content agency. Started Colosseum because the next thing he wanted to build was the system, not another agency on top of one.

Engineering lead — to be named. The role is open at v1; the search is on.

Advisors — to be named. A short list of people we trust on platform policy, editorial ethics, and operations.

What we believe

Three principles guide every choice the team makes.

The reasons we did not publish are part of the product. A system that publishes more is easier to admire from the outside. A system that publishes less is harder to build and more honest. We pick the harder one.

The audit log is the truth. If a decision is not in the log, it did not happen. If the log says it happened, it happened. The log is the only place the team and the platforms agree without negotiation.

Plain language is the discipline. If we cannot explain a decision in two sentences, the decision is not yet ready to make. The site you are reading is the application of the principle to ourselves.
